TAUREN WELLS is a celebrated recording artist, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, with 10 GRAMMY® Award nominations, six number 1’s, 225+ million career video views, seven GMA Dove Awards, Billboard Music Award nomination, and over 1 billion global streams to date, and counting. Through his precise artistry, masterful lyrics and dance-oriented performances, Tauren uniquely connects his contemporary Christian and Gospel sound with elements of pop, hip-hop and R&B. Tauren debuted his solo music in 2017 with the pop hit, “Love Is Action,” which held the no. 1 spot at CHR radio for eight weeks. Soon followed the GRAMMY®-nominated and RIAA platinum-certified “Hills and Valleys,” a thought-provoking piano and cello-driven track that found a home on Christian Airplay’s Top 10 for several consecutive weeks. In 2018, Tauren released “Known,” the RIAA gold-certified single which reached no. 1 on multiple charts including Christian Airplay and Christian AC Songs, while garnering him a 2019 GRAMMY® Award nomination for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song and Billboard Music Award for Top Christian Song. With his 2022 album “Joy In The Morning,” his first record with Capitol Records/CCMG and third career album, he emphasizes his genre-bending musical talent and limitless creative range— drawing from a lifetime of influences across gospel, pop, R&B, and more. “Joy In The Morning” follows 2021’s Citizen of Heaven (Live), which received a GRAMMY nomination this year. He also received GRAMMY and NAACP Image Awards nominations for “Hold Us Together (Hope Mix),” his 2021 duet with H.E.R. Having toured with industry greats (Lionel Richie, Mariah Carey, etc.), Wells is bringing his showstopping vocals and electrifying signature dance production across the U.S. with his “Joy in the Morning” headline tour in Spring 2023. Born and raised in Battle Creek, MI, Tauren currently resides in Houston, Texas with his wife and four sons.
